On Wednesday 26th August, Staff members from Bellurgan N.S were invited into the Department of Nursing Midwifery & Health Studies ,DKIT to participate in a Heartsaver AED training course.
Bellurgan N.S recently received a Defibrillator from local company, Bellurgan Precision Engineering. This gesture was very much appreciated as it becomes a very important part of our First Aid equipment in their school. Safeguarding our pupils against this silent killer, and indeed anyone who may be visiting or using the school facilities, is crucial. Having a defibrillator in a school will offer pupils, staff, visitors and the community a better chance of survival should a sudden cardiac arrest strike.
