There was great excitement in Bellurgan National School as pupils helped to dig up their School Garden which was planted back in the Spring time. Rang 6 pupils, David Rice and Mikie Mulligan, along with School Caretaker Peter Crawley uncovered an array of vegetables such as carrots, onions, parsnips, leeks and potatoes with each pupil being able to take a portion home to eat for their dinner. Many thanks to past pupils, Philip McQuillan and Cathal Donnelly, who have moved on to secondary school but were also part of the School Garden Committee.
