On Friday 28th November, the senior pupils of Bellurgan National School were treated to a visit from Juan Miro who works in the European Space Agency Control Centre. Juan, a native of the Spanish city of Barcelona, took time to explain to the pupils about their recent mission of the Rosetta which successful landed on a comet. The pupils were fascinated about the mission and also had many questions about his job within the ESA. Juan brought along lots of resources which he shared out and the pupils showed him some of their projects which they had completed on the Rosetta Mission. School Principal, Mr Dermot McCoy, would like to thank Juan for taking time out of his busy schedule to come into their school and speak to their pupils and also Edel Woods, a parent in their school, who helped organise the visit.
