Following an appeal earlier in the year from St Patrick’s Soup Kitchen in Dundalk, our Parent Association, pupils and staff felt that it would be a wonderful idea to donate food to this fantastic local charity at Christmas. The Soup Kichen has become an invaluable support to those who are in need and provides a warm, safe space and a tasty meal for those in the community who need it. Open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings the soup kitchen provides both food and shelter, but sometimes it is the emotional support which is valued most. The dedicated volunteers not only cook and serve food but they also lend a listening ear when people need it.
I would like to thank our parents and friends of our school for the huge food hamper that was presented by each class.
