On Friday 10th June 2016 our school put on a whole school production of the Wizard of Oz in St Patricks GAA Clubrooms. It was a fantastic occasion and an experience that will live with our students for many years to come.
Thanks to all those who worked behind the scenes on the night, those who helped with sound, video, props, costumes, make-up and the setting up of the hall. Many thanks to the Pats for hosting the show and it once again it shows the special community that we are all part of here in this area.
I would like to thank all the staff at our school for their efforts over this past few months in the lead up to the show, however as a staff we would all agree that there are two special ladies whose dedication and vision has brought The Wizard of Oz to fruition. Director Olive Curran and Musical Director Lynsey O’Neill you were fantastic to work alongside. Your experience ensured that the show ran smoothly and our pupils are so thankful for your expertise and guidance in the lead up to Friday evening.
Finally and most importantly I would like to say a big well done to our pupils for their fantastic performances. The acting, singing and dancing we all witnessed on stage showed how talented you all are, and never forget that.
